The Fritillaria raddeana also commonly known as the Dwarf Crown Imperial is a small fritillary reaching 50cm that closely resembles Fritillaria imperialis. This stunning little plant does best when planted from September to November, the fritillary will then flower in early Spring through to April.
The Fritillaria raddeana is quite easy to grow and does well in borders and raised beds. The bulbs should be planted in full sun to partial shade around 20cm deep.
